In Honor of Farmy:

Farmy’s Off-Road Park is named in honor of Michael William Hardesty (1980-2014)—a U.S. Air Force veteran and respected member of the Yerington community.

Known to many as “Farmboy” in high school, the nickname eventually became “Farmy”—a name that stuck and now carries forward as part of this park’s identity.

Michael spent much of his life in Yerington, where he became a well-known and respected presence. Raised in a rural environment, off-roading wasn’t just recreation—it was part of everyday life. That foundation grew into a lasting passion for off-road culture and racing.

Farmy’s Off-Road Park stands as a tribute to that passion, the community he was part of, and the legacy he left behind.
